I had a crack in my muffler that made a lot of noise. After applying this, it’s now extremely quiet. I’m not sure how long it will last.

Yes, it costs a pretty penny, but it really gets the job done. I used it to seal a hole in the intermediate silencer of my Golf. I just brushed it a bit with a drill, quickly welded a plate with a MIG, and filled everything with JB Weld. You just need to wait a little for it to set and let it heat up to solidify. You can speed things up with a heat gun, but on a dry day, you can leave it for a few hours or overnight, and by the next day, it will have cured and be watertight. I saved myself 400 bucks!

I purchased this product twice. The first time, it worked really well. I didn’t realize that you need to apply it thickly for optimal sealing. Once applied, it did seal the leak effectively, but it became brittle over time. I recommend wrapping it with exhaust wrap tape either after it cures or before applying it. Make sure to let it dry completely before use.
However, during my second purchase, the product was very dry and difficult to squeeze out of the tube. It didn’t flow easily and had a clay-like consistency, unlike the first time when it was more like toothpaste.
