The product arrived quickly and was perfectly packaged. The overall quality is excellent. This is my first time using a flux core welder, and I had no trouble with the settings. It’s important to have a thermal magnetic circuit breaker rated for at least 20A, as it can draw an average of 20-27A, with peaks up to 40A if the arc is extended. I used a 20A breaker without any issues, though I didn’t exceed half of the power. The output current reaches around 100-110A at voltage level 4, which is impressive. I’m just starting with this, but I’m very satisfied with my purchase. So far, I’ve only tested it with a 1lb Lincoln flux core spool, and it worked perfectly. As an additional note, it seems to handle up to 2lb flux core spools as well. For MIG welding, there shouldn’t be any issues; the manual states it’s rated for up to 1lb for flux core, but I saw a video of someone successfully using a 2lb spool. The regulator arrived with the cover screws a bit loose, but I tightened them, and everything seems fine. Now I just need to connect it to gas.

I think it’s a great option considering the price. It’s smaller than I expected, but even though I don’t use it daily, the gas compatibility makes it a solid choice. It has the voltage regulation I was looking for, unlike my old machine that only had high and low settings.

I have completed several projects, and this is one of the best machines I’ve used. It’s lightweight, very practical, easy to use, and truly versatile.

I haven’t tried it yet, but the only thing I didn’t like, unlike other Lincoln Electric products, is that it came with fewer accessories.

Great welder that’s portable and easy to handle. I do prefer Yes Weld wire for less splatter, though.

The best gasless welder I’ve ever used! Excellent value and performed wonderfully for welding auto body panels.

I’ve used it on a few small projects with mild steel and it handles 3/16 quite well. It appears to be versatile and convenient for smaller tasks or remote locations.

I was initially hesitant about this, but don’t be intimidated by its size and power. It’s a reliable machine and very convenient to use.

As a high school science teacher, I’m not a professional welder, but I consider myself a DIY enthusiast with a passion for woodworking, electronics repairs, and engineering projects. Recently, I needed a welder to fix some steel fencing at home and decided a flux core welder would suit my needs. However, I prefer to invest in tools that exceed my requirements for longevity and versatility. Since I might venture into MIG welding for car projects in the future, I opted for this model that can also be configured for MIG welding, avoiding the need for two separate machines in my garage.

This welder is impressively compact and operates on standard 110V household power. I do use a thicker gauge extension cord, but once I set it up with Lincoln Electric flux core wire (purchased separately) and followed the recommended settings, I found it incredibly user-friendly. While my welds aren’t perfect—given my lack of professional experience—I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my results after just a few attempts.

The portability of this welder is remarkable, taking up minimal space; in fact, my bag of welding supplies and safety gear (also from Lincoln Electric) occupies more room than the welder itself. I think my welding helmet is bigger than the machine! Setting it up and using it was straightforward. Although it’s more welder than I initially needed, I’m thrilled to have it!

This little machine is quite impressive! It’s surprisingly compact and lightweight, yet it has enough power to melt thick steel—sometimes even more than you’d expect. I had no prior welding experience, just some YouTube tutorials, but after a day of practice, I felt confident enough to repair a fire guard. While my welds might not be the prettiest and the flux-core wire tends to splatter, they are definitely strong. With a good abrasive disk and some black paint, you can easily conceal any imperfections. My only issue is with the earth clamp; the bonding braid came loose after just a few welds—it’s too short and wasn’t secured properly. Lincoln has a solid reputation in the welding industry, and while this machine is more budget-friendly and competes with lower-end models, I believe the brand name will help when I decide to upgrade and sell it.

I bought this for my hobby projects and have done some testing with it. Overall, it performs quite well. As a non-professional welder, I know my technique could use some improvement. The sample welds I’ve made with flux core wire look great, although the ends of the joints feel a bit weak—this might be on me. The lead wire to the gun makes it somewhat challenging to maneuver, but it’s still portable. I’m not sure if there’s a way to minimize wire waste. For the price, I’m happy with my purchase.

I purchased this in April 2023, and it has truly impressed me. I use .035 wire and frequently work with 14-gauge material. Since getting this welder, my dual voltage Lincoln 180 has been collecting dust. Weighing just 15 lbs, it’s incredibly portable and easy to carry around.

I often bring it to job sites, and it never fails to amaze others. At under $300, it’s an unbeatable deal. Here’s a tip: I store mine in a standard plastic milk crate, which fits the welder, ground, and stinger perfectly. When was the last time you could lift a welder with one hand and easily climb a ladder? Did I mention it’s only 15 lbs?

When this one eventually wears out, I will definitely buy another. I tend to be tough on my tools, but this one is built to last. No kidding.
