Once mixed, the putty cures quickly and adheres excellently to various surfaces. I primarily used it to fill screw holes that had stripped out (including a large one from a curtain rod that came down with the anchors) and it worked perfectly. I reinstalled the screws before it hardened, and it ended up holding like a very large anchor.

I absolutely love this product! It’s incredibly useful, dries quickly, and has great strength. I can’t recommend it enough. Just a heads-up: be sure to wear gloves, as it has a strong smell that lingers on your fingers. But that’s just a small issue in the grand scheme of things.

This epoxy putty is incredibly strong and adheres exceptionally well. I used it to create hooks for my outdoor concrete wall, attaching a light net to keep hawks and owls away from my cats after seeing them eyeing my pets with concern. Living in an apartment, I can’t drill into the concrete to hang items, so this putty was ideal. I shaped the hooks with a 180-degree curve to prevent the net from slipping off in windy conditions, and they dried in just a few hours.
While I wouldn’t recommend hanging anything heavy from my homemade hooks or relying on the net to withstand significant pressure or cat escapes, they’ve proven effective in withstanding windstorms and rain. Since we’re on the third floor, I’m not too concerned about my cats escaping. If a bird of prey tries to swoop down, the thin net should snag it long enough for my cats to get away. So far, it seems the hawks have noticed the net and have stopped eyeing my balcony like a buffet, although I can still hear them (and the great horned owls) regularly.
I also used a good amount of this putty to wrap around a power cube outlet indoors. The conduit had split at the joint, exposing the wires inside, which still had their individual wraps intact. Tape wouldn’t hold it together due to the cable’s movement, so I applied the putty along the cable over the break and molded additional support around the cube. It works perfectly, and the wires are now protected. I’m saving money too!

The versatility of SteelStik is impressive. I first got a tube years ago and decided to use it to patch a large tear in my dryer drum. After a short drying time, I sanded it down and reinstalled the drum. It held up wonderfully for over a year until another area started to come apart, prompting me to finally replace the dryer.
With my latest tube, SteelStik was soft, easy to mix, and I used it to reinforce a cracked casing on a bathroom fan. After a bit of cleaning and drying, it adhered well and was ready to be sanded in about 30 minutes.
This stuff is fantastic to have on hand for any emergency repairs!
