From the get-go, this product is impressive. I can see more of my work area and make adjustments without having to lift it up. It’s also very budget-friendly, featuring three settings that I can easily switch between without messing with knobs. I love the green and yellow hexagon design; it looks fantastic. While it’s a bit heavier and larger than my previous blue flame model, the increased glass coverage is worth it, as it protects more of my head, while the rest remains light. I don’t use it daily, so I expect the battery to last a while. Whether I’m welding or enjoying a day at the beach without sunlight blinding me, this product handles it all.

I absolutely love all the features of this hood—it’s the best one I’ve ever owned, and the price is fantastic. I can seamlessly switch between grinding, cutting, and welding with just a flick of the side switch using my left hand while keeping the hood on. The shield performs excellently for all three tasks.
My only minor concerns are that it took some trial and error to adjust the flip-down tightness with the side knobs, and while it fits decently on my head, it doesn’t feel quite snug enough. When I fully tighten the crank at the back, it seems to skip a tooth and doesn’t reach the desired tightness. However, aside from these two small issues, I’m very happy with my purchase. It’s an incredible value.

Great value for the price. Superior to the Hobo Freight brand hood. I really appreciate the size of the view. I’ve only had it for a week, but it’s performing well.

I’ve been using this welding hood occasionally at work for about a year. While welding isn’t my primary job, I do quite a bit of it when working on cars, and I find this budget-friendly hood to be excellent for that purpose. The auto-darkening feature functions reliably, the larger viewing window offers great visibility, and the headband is comfortable. So far, the adjustments haven’t stripped or malfunctioned. Overall, it’s a quality welding hood.

Performs excellently and feels great to wear. I can use it for hours without experiencing any headaches. It also offers a variety of settings. I highly recommend this product.

Edit: The strap snapped on the second day of use—it’s really flimsy, and I have no idea where to find a replacement. I can’t believe I was welding with any other helmet before this one. The width, clarity, response, comfort, and price are all just perfect.

This helmet is really comfortable to wear—more so than my Tigerhood. It’s solid headgear that stays in place when properly adjusted. I initially bought a Lincoln Viking to replace it, but I’ve decided to stick with this one for now. The optics are fantastic; I can see clearly while welding, and once I adjust the sensitivity, I hardly need to use the grind switch at all. Overall, it’s an excellent helmet for the price.
Just a heads-up: this helmet doesn’t work with a hard hat adapter, as it’s a bit narrower than those that do. However, I don’t see this as a drawback; being able to maneuver into tight spaces is more important to me. If you need a helmet that fits a hard hat, there are other options available.

From the moment you touch it, the quality of the material is evident; it’s a sturdy, rigid plastic. The controls are very comfortable to use on the outside, and the battery compartment is easily accessible. The strap adjustments are also very convenient, featuring padding both in the front and back. Additionally, there’s a mask adjustment for the final welding position, allowing you to wear it lower or higher, providing an excellent field of vision. It even comes with spare protectors and a replacement battery. The shade and sensitivity adjustments are impressive as well. Overall, it’s worth the price and highly recommended.

Initially, I was skeptical about its effectiveness. I tested it by looking directly at the sun, and it didn’t provide any shading. After fiddling with the settings, it eventually started to respond, but the behavior was puzzling. When I blocked the sun with my hand, the lens darkened, but when I removed my hand, it didn’t shade as expected. It felt like it was working in reverse, and this was consistent. I was ready to return it, but decided to give it a shot while welding. To my surprise, it performed as intended and has continued to do so. For now, I’m satisfied.
If yours appears unresponsive when looking at the sun, definitely try it while welding. I just hope its durability holds up.
The design feels a bit flimsy, especially when removing the lens; it’s not very easy to handle. A better approach would be to allow the lens to come out easily from the front for changes.
On the plus side, it’s comfortable, and you can adjust the shading to be quite dark, which is a plus. Once I found the right setting, I had a clear view of the puddle.
Getting the battery out is also a hassle due to the flimsy plastic design. It would be more convenient if the battery popped out with a push, but instead, you have to dig and pry with your fingernails.
Another drawback is the tension adjustments on the sides to secure the window. I had to tighten them quite a bit to prevent it from dropping lower than I wanted, and it felt like they might break or strip. I’m uncertain how long that will last.
Overall, once I found the right settings and handled it carefully, it seems to work well. I do think it’s about $25 overpriced, but that seems to be the norm these days.

This helmet may not be the most high-end option, but it offers solid features and performs well.

I’ve been using this mascara for 2 months, and it already broke at the part that attaches to the cap at the back.
